Torquay is the largest of the three towns, which make up the popular holiday region of Torbay. Affectionately known as the English Riviera, Torquay is renowned for it's excellent climatic conditions. Torbay has over 22 miles of coastline to explore and the main Torquay beach, Torre Abbey sands is just a short walk from the popular harbour side area. Also located near the harbour is the Torquay tourist information office and Princess Theatre. The English Riviera centre is within easy walking distance of Fleurie House and for tourists who like to shop the main town centre and harbour-shopping complex is easily accessible on foot.
